So....do you think that when we die we are aware of it? Like when we go to sleep at night our brains are still working, we still have a basic conscious understanding of what's going on around us. But when we die, is there nothing? If that were true we wouldn't even have the prospect of even having the thought that there's nothing. Thinking about that possibilty scares the crap out of me

@king595 Well I don't know if I can respond to that but I know there was a man who woke up in his last seconds from brain death. People and doctors asked him if he could see or feel something when he was almost passing away and he said he felt like a tiny spot in the space and equal to the universe. And there are other people who suffered through the same and their confessions are quite the same. So I'm getting to the conclusion that after you die, probably, the universe conserves you and you become one with it.

I totally get it, OP. I wish there were more people out there who enjoy that sort of thing. Also, I tend to think pretty deep thoughts every so often and I'm so surprised why no one else wants to think in such a way.
For example, with philosophy it gives people the chance to try and explain their own consciousness and experiences in unique ways in order to find the truth of our existence. Why don't more people want to learn more and explore their own existence? It seems like more people are just settling down for mediocre bs and not exploring themselves through their own force of will.

Few day ago I tried to tell my friends that time flows at a different rate on the staleties around the earth, they told me that thats just some theory of something and isnt actually real... Asked them how the GPS works but well there was no really explaining anything to them,so the conversation went towards girls and boobs, I didnt mind it at the end.
